Olga Shaydullina is an academic composer, she graduated from Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory (Academy) named M. I. Glinka (Boris Getselev class of composition).
Olga is an author of music for the following theatrical performances: Shakespeare's «King Lear» (Director V. Zolotar), Thomas Tidholm's «Resan till Ugri La Brek» (Director P. Struzhkova), Hoffmann's «Nutcracker» (Director Y. Yadrovsky); soundtrack for short film «Kapel» («Dripping Water») by Provmyza; other symphonic, opera, chamber, and vocal music.
Olga's music performs by famous Russian musicians, like Alexander Sladkovsky and orchestra of St. Petersburg capella, Moscow ensemble of contemporary music, Studio of contemporary music of Moscow State Conservatory, etc.
She currently works also as a lecturer of music at VGIK (Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography), art manager and curator. Her collaborative projects with Stanislav Vdovin and Anton Cherkasov push boundaries between academic, improvised, and sound design approach to composition.
