Olga Shaydullina + Stanislav Vdovin
1. Tin Woodman (08:32)
2. Ellie (02:18)
Everyone remembers the Tin Woodman from the fairy tale by Baum or its Russian interpretation by Volkov?
This image is destined to illustrate the single by Olga Shaydullina and Stanislav Vdovin, that precedes the full-length album of duo.
These tracks, however, will not be included on the album, they will remain separate and unique release, available exclusively from Juno Download.
Details for the Tin Woodman were made during the session after recording et_cetera
Olga Shaydullina first used household items and toys like drums and percussion instruments.
These sounds were the basis for creating textures by Stanislav Vdovin in the environment of AudioMulch.
Different versions of the resulting records subsequently became part of the project Silent Film — Live Music, when the film The Flying Coffer by Lotte Reineger was voiced.
In that project, beside the duo, flutist Edita Phil and pianist Fedor Amirov were involved.
Tin Woodman, however, does not include the parts of these remarkable musicians, offering an electronic version of the tracks.
Instead, in the second track, which is about a girl Ellie, we hear Rhodes piano, recorded by Olga before performance at Strelka in Moscow.
This track is available as a bonus to those who decide to buy this beautiful, harmonious release.
